About Melissa
Born in Canada, I modeled in my twenties before developing a long-standing career as an agent in Paris, notably with IMG. Inspired by models and their challenges, I initially wrote articles on international food culture, sustainability, and well-being for The Food Muse. Then a friend asked me, ‘When are you going to write that book about fashion?’ The result is my debut novel, Fashionable Insanity, a fast-paced work of women’s fiction, available on this website. Heads up! The guests on the podcast Post-Fashionable Insanity are the people who inspired the book.
Somewhat nomadic, I currently reside on an island in Greece. Besides writing and podcasting, I also dabble in interior design. Lately, I’ve been following my passion for electronic music by DJing. A tribute to the good old saying, ‘It’s never too late.’

Ran a lot in high school.
Dropped out of university and saluted The Ramones.
Modeled in Paris plus other countries.
But worked best in Japan.
WAS married to a good guy.
Became a mother.
And made a career as a model agent.
I still love to dress up.
